Jacobs Agency Wins Bid to Build Awareness for Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program

CHICAGO, March 6, 2013 — Jacobs Agency was recently awarded year two of the Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program awareness campaign. Jacobs Agency pitched the business in Q3 2012, and launched the integrated campaign in September 2012.

Jacobs Agency, the 15-year-old award-winning marketing communications firm based in Chicago, brings a wealth of relevant experience in the utilities industry to Nicor Gas, having worked for years with clients such as Peoples Energy, ComEd, Exelon Energy, We Energies, Comcast, NIPSCO, and others.

To meet the communications objectives of building awareness and securing participation in the Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program, Jacobs Agency developed an integrated marketing communications plan that includes a mix of mass media and public relations. The campaign targets homeowners and business customers with Nicor Gas’ northern Illinois footprint.
