Jacobs Agency Wins Three American Graphic Design Awards

CHICAGO, September 17, 2013 — Graphic Design USA has presented Jacobs Agency with three American Graphic Design Awards. Jacobs Agency won in the Advertising category for the HIMSS Membership ad campaign and the Tate & Lyle Beverage Optimization ad campaign. In the Packaging category, Jacobs Agency was honored for designing Danish labels for one of Maplehurst Bakeries’ retail customers.

The HIMSS Membership campaign platform brought to life the goal of HIMSS and its members: improving patient care through information technology. The creative platform was extended to print and digital ads, email marketing, sell sheets, video, and signage at HIMSS’ annual conference. The campaign received commentary from prominent industry blogger, HISTalk, and was used in the HIMSS13 keynote speech given by Eric Topol, cardiologist, researcher and West Endowed Chair of Innovative Medicine at The Scripps Research Institute.

Tate & Lyle’s Beverage Optimization campaign was also comprised of print and online advertising. The creative presents SPLENDA® Sucralose as a zero-calorie solution for beverage manufacturers looking to reduce production costs and meet consumer demands for reduced-sugar drinks. The campaign launched with a gatefold ad in Beverage Industry, and as a special insert with a case study excerpt in Beverage World and BevNet.

Finally, the labels Jacobs Agency designed for Maplehurst’s line of Danish pastries appeared at Walmart in-store bakeries in test markets across the country. The labels included original photography to showcase maximum product taste appeal.
