Jacobs Agency Wins Two Davey Awards

CHICAGO, October 22, 2013 — Jacobs Agency has been honored with two 2013 Davey Awards. Overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), the Davey Awards honors the finest creative work from the best small creative firms, agencies and companies worldwide.

“This year’s Davey Award winners truly represent the best small firms worldwide. The work entered into this year’s competition embodies a smart, tactful approach to creativity and highlights the capabilities and forward-thinking mindset that makes small agencies so unique,” noted Linda Day, Executive Director of the IAVA.

Jacobs Agency received a gold Davey Award in the Design/Print category for developing the Frigo® Cheese sales toolkit. To help Saputo launch new packaging for Frigo Cheese, Jacobs Agency designed and printed sales collateral that was inspired by the clean, white look of the redesigned line of Italian-style cheeses. The kit features the Frigo brand story, along with a series of sell sheets that showcase everything from new packaging, to new products, to Saputo’s unprecedented commitment to supporting their retailer customers’ marketing efforts.

The Agency also received a silver Davey Award in the Integrated Campaign category for the Nicor Gas “Liberate” campaign. To build awareness and secure participation in the Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program, Jacobs Agency developed an integrated plan that includes a mix of mass media and public relations. The campaign targets homeowners and businesses within Nicor Gas’ northern Illinois footprint. To date, the Agency’s efforts have driven web traffic by 88% and call center volume by 19%. This is the second award that Jacobs Agency has received for the Nicor Gas “Liberate” campaign, which netted a gold Stevie® Award for Marketing Campaign of the Year/Utilities in June 2013.
