O-Cedar Looks to Jacobs Agency for ProMist Re-Launch
CHICAGO, April 9, 2014 — Freudenberg Household Products, LLP, d.b.a. O-Cedar, has engaged Jacobs Agency to help build national awareness and excitement for its newly redesigned ProMist MicroFiber Spray Mop among consumers. O-Cedar is a well-known manufacturer of household products, including mops, brooms, brushes, sponges and other cleaning tools.
To get consumers excited about 16 features of the new ProMist MicroFiber Spray Mop, Jacobs Agency developed the “Welcome to Cleantown” creative platform. Done in an illustrative style, the campaign look-and-feel mirrors a social game after research pointed to the sustained popularity of social games with females head of household. The promotion thematic extends across in-store and on-product point of sale, digital and video assets, and an integrated Facebook promotion.
The social media component of the effort includes a robust content calendar with branded imagery directing participants to a high-stakes sweeps attracting fans and followers with a $10,000 home makeover, $1,000 monthly cash prizes and product giveaways.
“The harmony between the prize and promotion style is different, eye-catching and proving to be very effective,” explains Peter Raisch, Senior Account Manager. “The ProMist is a great product made by a company who cares about quality, and that word is spreading quickly thanks to the power of social media.”
The campaign launched March 1, 2014 and runs through September 30, 2014. To date, the promotion has resulted in a 55 percent lift in Facebook likes, as well as more than a hundred thousand entries.
